Balancing is an important tool to fix vibration problems. Imbalance happens when a rotor's center of rotation differs from the center of gravity. The imbalance change is most likely a result of the machine's production process. Products can adhere to or break off of the rotor, which distorts the balance. Gradually, the imbalance creates problems for other mechanical elements, such as bearings. Balancing is one of the many tools available to cure vibration problems.
